It has been proven that South Africans are some of the most hard-working in the world. Even with our turbulent past, current financial climate and international persona, South Africans remain resilient, effective, and committed to overcoming any challenge.

Approach:

 

The most renowned feature of Plascon Micatex is its strength, toughness and persevering durability. In this context, we aimed to connect consumers to the brand by linking it to something that every South African can individually relate to: themselves.

Painting South Africa Strong

We developed an interactive platform that encouraged South Africans to share messages of strength on social media. The web-based platform featured a map of South Africa that highlighted consumer engagements in real-time each time a message of strength was shared or when the campaign hashtag was used. The campaign was promoted through paid media across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Display and Waze.
